Olivier Rens

Olivier Rens holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Ghent University and a postgraduate degree in Economics for non-economists from the Antwerp Management School.

He started his career as a technical commercial manager at a construction business specialised in foundations and after 10 years he became technical director. From 2009 to 2024, he has been managing director of the same company, which, through internal growth and acquisitions, has since become a reference in its field.

Olivier has also been the chairman of the association of deep foundation companies in Belgium (ABEF) and is active in Embuild, an association of the construction sector. He is a member of the Belgian NBN committee and the UBATC (Belgian Union for Technical Approval in Construction). He has many years of experience in leading a medium-sized SME with 150 employees and a 50 million turnover.

He has been an active member of the Rotary service club for 15 years, which is committed to the less fortunate and has been chairman of the club's fundraising committee for many years. In 2021-2022, he also assumed the presidency of the Ghent chapter.
