Mimi Lamote

Mimi Lamote holds a Master's degree in Applied Economics from the UFSIA (University of Antwerp). In the years that followed, she did a Business Case Study Program at Harvard, a leadership program at Insead, a Master in Retail Management at Tias (Tilburg) and more recently a Business Sustainability Management Program at Cambridge in the UK.

After a brief first work experience at Coopers&Lybrand, Mimi first became a buyer at C&A Belgium and later became an international buyer in Düsseldorf. In 2000, she became General Manager of C&A Belgium, where she and her team realised a turnaround. In 2006, Mimi became COO at ZNA (Hospital Network Antwerp) where she was responsible for HR, Communication, Purchasing, Catering, Housekeeping and Facility. Three years later, she joined GrandVision in Amsterdam as VP for the Nordic countries, Italy and France, where she helped set up the strategic lines and guided the management teams. In 2014, Mimi became CMO at Beaulieu International until 2017, at which point she became CEO of the Belgian fashion brand Mayerline with a view to realising another turnaround. Due to Covid, this assignment was extended until 2022.

Since 2005, Mimi has been a director at Proximus, Kinepolis and Fedrus, among others, and currently holds directorships at De Watergroep, Ebema and Euroshoe Group. She is also a partner at Oraxys, a Luxembourg-based impact Private Equity. In addition, Mimi is a business coach and regularly assists CEOs and management teams in drawing up and implementing a sustainability strategy.
