Jean-Luc Deleersnyder

Jean-Luc Deleersnyder holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Ghent University and a PhD in applied sciences from the same university.

After 6 years at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Co (Brussels), where he worked on strategic and operational projects, he joined Union Minière (now Umicore), where he was responsible for the group's strategy, HR policy and all zinc activities. In 2006, he joined Sibelco, a global leader in industrial minerals, where he became CEO for Europe, COO and finally CEO for the global group.

Since 2020, Jean-Luc has been active on several boards of directors, and advises multiple organisations (including a private equity fund and several start-ups).
