Eddy Claesen

Eddy Claesen started his career as a tax consultant in 1984, with a degree in Accountancy and Taxation. Gradually, Eddy continued his education, with a diploma in 'succession in family businesses' obtained at the Business School Tilburg and a diploma in 'Advanced Management' at the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. In addition, he also specialised as a consultant to family businesses, helped by additional training at HUB Brussels.

Eddy is co-founder of several companies and initiatives. Among other things, he is the founder of Fiscaal Ideaal and co-founder of Fiscaal Correct. As co-CEO, he also plays an active role in the day-to-day management of various companies. In 2013, Eddy was the winner of the Taxman Award. He has also co-authored the book "Selling Your Business Optimally."

Eddy is affiliated with Groep Claesen, an accountancy firm and family business. Together with his daughter An and her team, he offers support to independent entrepreneurs and SMEs. Eddy is still involved in the day-to-day management of Groep Claesen, providing legal, tax, financial, strategic and corporate advice. He assists numerous family businesses with their challenges. Eddy is also active as a conflict mediator.

Eddy is also known as an active member of Unizo, the VKW, the Institute for Directors and Voka. These are just a few examples of organisations with which Eddy has organised a myriad of seminars.
